Mary Lucas

Executive Coach

Mary brings more than 35 years’ experience in the staffing industry, having climbed the corporate ladder from an entry-level recruiter role to a C-suite position. Her extensive knowledge and expertise include sales, marketing, operations, training, service delivery, talent acquisition, and organizational and executive coaching.

Mary has served in executive roles at many of the largest staffing firms in the country, including Chief Talent Officer at Supplemental Health Care, Chief Resource Officer at Staffmark, and Senior Vice President of Spherion. She is also the author of the critically acclaimed book, Lunchmeat & Life Lessons, a guide for thousands around the world for how to succeed in the “people business.” She is frequently asked to speak at companies, associations, schools, and organizations across the globe.

Throughout her successful career, Mary has acquired extensive expertise as an organizational strategist and business advisor, particularly within the areas of culture creation and employee engagement. In addition, she has served as an executive coach and career transition coach for leaders and organizations through leadership development, organizational cultural assessments, strategic planning, and board evaluation and relationship development.  

Mary is a graduate of the Evidence Based Coaching Certificate Program from the Fielding School of Graduate Studies, the Intensive Training Program at the College of Executive Coaching, and holds a B.S. from Kansas State University. She is active in volunteerism and philanthropy, regularly donating portions of her book sales and speaking engagements to the America Heart Association.
